Telecalling Software Price: Worked Budgets for 3, 5, 10, 20 Callers
By Ganpat Godara · Managing Director, Wappblaster
In short: Budget telecalling software as a stack, not a licence: software + phones + SIM plans + WhatsApp. A 5-caller SIM-based stack runs about ₹60-75k in year one all-in (₹7k of it software at RMDialer’s rate); the same team on cloud dialers crosses ₹1.5-3 lakh once minutes are metered. Cloud earns its premium only past ~25 seats or under compulsory recording: below that, the flat band wins every worked example.
Every “telecalling software price” page lists per-user rates and stops: which is like pricing a car by the steering wheel. A calling operation buys a stack: software, phones, SIMs, WhatsApp: and the honest budget question is what a real team spends in year one. Here are the worked examples, band by band. (The three pricing bands themselves and the category are covered separately; this page is the arithmetic.)
The stack lines every budget needs
- Software: the per-user subscription: flat SIM band ₹159-600/user/month, cloud band ₹1,000-3,000+ plus minutes
- Phones: SIM-based tools run on ₹8-12k Android devices (often already owned); cloud seats need laptops/headsets or the same phones
- SIM plans: ₹200-400/month unlimited-calling per caller: the line that REPLACES cloud per-minute billing entirely
- WhatsApp: included in some SIM tools; a separate ₹1-2k+/month platform plus Meta conversation charges otherwise
- The silent line: onboarding and admin time: near-zero for phone apps, real for cloud rollouts and self-hosted stacks
Worked budget: 3 callers (the solo-plus shop)
- SIM band (RMDialer rates): software ₹5,724/yr + SIMs ₹10,800 + say one new phone ₹10,000 = ~₹27,000 year one, WhatsApp automation included. Per verified conversation, this is the cheapest configuration commercial calling has ever had.
- Cloud band: seats ₹36-72k + minutes (3 callers × real talk time ≈ ₹2-5k/month) + WhatsApp tool = ₹90,000-1,60,000: for virtual numbers that get screened.
Worked budget: 5 callers (the standard SMB desk)
- SIM band: software ₹9,540 + SIMs ₹18,000 + phones (assume two new) ₹20,000 = ~₹48,000-78,000 year one, all-in.
- Mid SIM band (₹400-600 tools): ₹42-72k software alone: the reporting-depth premium: justify it by a named manager need, not habit.
- Cloud band: ₹1.5-3 lakh once minutes are honest. The gap versus flat SIM: roughly 3-5x: buys recording and IVR a 5-seat sales team rarely uses.
Worked budget: 10 and 20 callers
At 10: SIM stack lands ~₹1.2-1.6 lakh all-in (software ₹19k at our rate); cloud crosses ₹3-6 lakh. At 20: SIM ~₹2.6-3.2 lakh; cloud ₹6-12 lakh: and here the calculus genuinely starts shifting: at 25+ seats with big cold lists, predictive pacing and compulsory recording begin earning cloud’s premium, and flat-tier products (Kylas-style) also enter the frame. Below that line, every worked example lands the same side.
The three questions that finish the budget
- What does a MISSED follow-up cost you? One lost customer usually exceeds the entire monthly software line: which reframes the ₹159-vs-₹599 debate as noise and the adoption question as everything.
- Is anything on the quote per-minute? If yes, model YOUR talk volumes before signing: the meter, not the seat, is where cloud budgets die.
- What is included versus add-on? WhatsApp, reminders, reports: the roundup marks who bundles what. A cheap seat plus three add-ons is an expensive seat wearing a discount.
Budget the stack, run the two-week pilot, and let the year-one totals: not the per-user stickers: make the decision. They usually make it loudly.
